I hate that in the English language you could say “The house is hers” but you can’t say “The house is her.” You have to say, “It’s her house.” This has actually created problems for us in development right now. “It’s his house” or “The house is his” works. Why do we need 2 different pronouns, in this case, for females?

It’s the s. Possessives are formed by adding ‘s in most cases. Pronouns are used so commonly that his’s has become his. You should be more annoyed that you can’t just smack ‘s on the end of everything. Even spellcheck thinks Her’s is correct! http://www.elearnenglishlanguage.com/difficulties/hers.html
The house is his/hers
It is his/her house
The house belongs to him/her
He/she owns the house
You’ll have to cover all four. You may also want to cover it/its their/theirs your/yours as well.
Yeah, see the thing is we had he, him, his, himself and all the ones (except her) for female covered and working fine. It’s annoying because in some place there has to be a broken convention somewhere, unless I reference all pronouns by their female case. In the case of second and third person plural though I’m not sure if we actually will have to cover them programmatically. Luckily, in English, third person plural is gender neutral (unlike in, say, Arabic where you have third person plural and dual masculine and feminine). Thanks for the feedback :D
