So, skills are wrapping up. We have the framework for building them about 90% finished. Next up on the check list: Afflictions, Cures & Objects, NPCs. I’ve been waiting a long time (several months) to work on afflictions, but skills are the absolute core of Lockwood, and as such they need to be working smoothly and must be maintainable and extensible.
Skills have been a long time coming, and I can finally breathe easier now that I have settled on a design. We still don’t have an expected date for release or Alpha trial yet, but I’m working feverishly for a January 2013 release. This date is just an estimate and I honestly can’t say that it’ll happen by then, but I set my goals high so that we can get this done right and…just…done.
