Status Update

Hello, folks! I thought it might be nice to update you on the status of this project. A  month ago I had a harddrive malfunction on my development computer. Luckily, I salvaged the data and am now backing everything up two-fold (on a linode server that gets backed up every day).

So, we continue work and the past week or so I’ve been working on coding Lockwood’s skills. I’ve found that command parsing and text-perspective are very interesting problems to solve, but solved they are. In the coming weeks after skills are finished we’ll be working on actual area and room building, now that the code is in; this will entail doing room descriptions, area descriptions, etc. We already have maps of the 4 major cities done, and we’ll start working on the inner areas of Metastructural Inclusion 959A. We’ll also be working on item development, affliction effects (which are necessary for skills before we go any further) and some fine-tuning of odds and ends, like RFC 855 compliance (telnet format). Sometime soon I’ll find some time to create an actual website for Lockwood itself so you can get more updated information at a glance.
